Power Cycle the Extender

  • In the first step, cut the power supply of your extender and let it reset for a moment.
  • Next disconnect all the connected wires with your device.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds or a minute and plug-in the extender again.
  • Let it start and then try to connect to the internet again.

Verify Extender and Main Router Connection

  • If the connection between your main router and extender is not established properly, your wavlink extender is not working. Connection between the main router and extender can be possible via two ways: through WiFi or an Ethernet cable.
  • If the connection between the main router and extender is through wireless mode, remember to check the power supply of the extender and its placement should be near the main router.
  • Monitor the connectivity by looking at the green light on the devices. If no green list is shown on the device try to move your extender closure to the main router. Remember not to place the devices in corners or cabinets.
  • If you have more than one device, make sure all are connected together with an Ethernet cable.
  • If still the issue is not resolved, then try to connect the Extender and main router by using Ethernet cable to establish a more reliable connection.

  • Go to the extenders web based dashboard
  • Login to it and access firmware function from menu
